Minimum Requirements for Employment:

To work as a child care provider in Ohio, you must meet minimum qualifications such as being at least 18 years old, having a high school diploma or GED, and passing background checks. You must also complete training in first aid, CPR, and health and safety. 


  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a high school diploma or GED
  • Pass local, FBI, and BCII background checks
  • Pass a request for Child Abuse and Neglect Report
  • Complete first aid, CPR, and health and safety training
  • Provide a medical statement signed by a medical professional

Child Care Assistant

Join our team to help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. Responsibilities include assisting teachers with classroom routines, supervising activities, and supporting children’s growth through play and learning. Ideal for someone passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives!

Child Care Teacher

Responsible for planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans, supervising and mentoring classroom assistants, and maintaining a nurturing environment that supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Must have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, or a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

Ideal for individuals passionate about guiding young children’s growth through meaningful learning experiences.

Child Care Substitute

Responsible for providing flexible classroom support as needed, assisting with daily routines, supervising children’s activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. Helps ensure consistency and quality of care when regular staff members are unavailable. Ideal for individuals seeking flexible schedules who enjoy engaging with and supporting young children.
